So, this just happened…
Last week, the University of Rhode Island hired me to teach this fall for their Writing and Rhetoric Department: two sections of WRT 104: Writing to Inform and Explain. The students work on badges for different types of writing (travel, food, blogging, science, social reform, etc.) with a variety of activities required to earn each badge. And their grades are determined by the number of badges they earn. I’ve met with both classes once so far—yesterday—and I already LOVE the job!
