HELP NEEDED!
The Rose Island Lighthouse and Hamilton Trust is having a Season Opening and Book Launch Event from 1 to 4 p.m. on June 5 and so far only 6 people have signed up for it. They were hoping for an audience of 60. This event is their first big one for the season and is meant to help the Trust begin to recover from their shortfall last year due to the Covid shutdown. Also, as the title of the event indicates, it is the book launch party for the second book of our Rose Island Lighthouse series, The Island Adventures of Paul Stedman. The event is being held on beautiful Rose Island, which is off the coast of Newport, Rhode Island. Your $75 donation to the Trust, which is tax-deductible, gets you a ferry ride to and from the island from Fort Adams (Newport, RI), an autographed copy of the book, a tour of the island, attendance at the book launch event, and even some delicious snacks. Bank Newport has generously offered to be a sponsor for the event but we need some attendees. Please consider donating to the Rose Island Lighthouse and Fort Hamilton Trust and joining us on the island on June 5. Be assured, all applicable Covid guidelines will be followed on the ferry and at the event.
